IT Support Engineer; London; £32K - £40K
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a global leader in the insurance industry.
Paying a competitive salary of up to £40K (dependant on experience), our clients are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Support Engineer to help them expand and strengthen their business. The successful IT Support Engineer will have a strong background in an Infrastructure environment and me able to work successfully both as part of a team or as an individual.
IT Support Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Provide Hardware and Software support for Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Blackberry's, telecommunications
- Track all support calls in the help desk system
- monitoring and maintaining of servers
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications
- Setting up new users accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
- Travel as required
IT Support Engineer Qualities:
- Strong background in an Infrastructure environment, ideally with 2-3 years+ experience
- Excellent technical skills including MS Operating Systems, Server 2003, Server 2008, XP, Vista, Windows 7, LAN and WAN networking, Citrix
- Knowledge of telecommunications both PBX and VOID, Blackberry, Apple iPad and iPhone
- Educated to degree level or similar is desirable
- Customer focused
- Committed to continuous learning and seeks to expand knowledge and experience
Previous experience working in the Insurance / Reinsurance Industry will be an advantage.
